To Ukraine, With Love (And a Side of Rage)
Now, just when you need us most, you’ve got to deal with a bunch of spineless, Putin-curious buffoons treating your struggle like a game of mobster cosplay.
Dear Ukraine,
We see you. We admire you. And we are so sorry that the so-called “leader” of the free world has let you down in the most humiliating way possible. You’ve spent three years fighting not just for your survival, but for the very idea of democracy—something that used to mean something in America. And now, just when you need us most, you’ve got to deal with a bunch of spineless, Putin-curious buffoons treating your struggle like a game of mobster cosplay.
You deserved a handshake, a show of unwavering support, a solid "We got your back." What you got instead was Donald Trump and JD Vance playing mafia don and enforcer, demanding fealty like they were handing out favors at a wedding instead of abandoning an ally to a genocidal dictator. Watching them summon President Zelensky—who, let’s remember, is literally leading a country at war—to the White House and then publicly humiliate him? Telling him to “show gratitude” like he’s some underling who hasn’t bled enough for their approval?
Absolutely sickening.
Let’s be clear: Zelensky is a hero—a man who, when given the chance to flee, chose to stay and fight. A man who walks among his people, who leads with courage and integrity. Meanwhile, Trump is a guy who ran away from his own supporters when they stormed the Capitol for him, and JD Vance is just his latest sycophant, proving that selling out democracy is apparently the new MAGA initiation ritual. These two don’t have a shred of the courage that Ukrainians show every single day.
And let's talk about this gratitude nonsense. Ukraine doesn’t owe the U.S. a single damn thing—we owe you. You’re fighting on the front lines of democracy, stopping Putin’s imperialist death march from reaching further into Europe, while certain American politicians slobber all over themselves trying to please their favorite shirtless dictator.
You are holding the line while they crumble like soggy crackers.
But here’s the thing, Ukraine: America hasn’t abandoned you. Not real Americans. Not the people who understand what’s at stake. Our government may be held hostage by weak men with strongman fantasies, but millions of Americans still stand with you. We see your fight, we know what you’re up against, and we aren’t turning away just because some wannabe crime lords think betrayal is a good look.
Stay strong. Keep fighting. And when this is over—when Ukraine stands victorious and Americans are free again—we’ll make damn sure history remembers who stood for democracy and who groveled before dictators.
Slava Ukraini. America is still with you—no matter what the cowards say.
With love, admiration, and a whole lot of righteous fury,
Lady Libertie and the real Americans.

And let’s be clear that the US doesn’t just owe Ukraine because we care about freedom and democracy. We owe Ukraine because in 1994 Ukraine gave up the third largest nuclear arsenal in exchange for security and border protections from the US, Russia and other countries. Ukraine chose trust and peace over power. And we have been breaking our commitment to Ukraine to secure their border since 2014 when Russia illegally annexed Crimea.
I stand with Ukraine. The behavior of Trump and Vance was sickening. (They do not deserve the presidential designations they have and I won't use them.) I have never been so embarressed in my life. The American people deserve better. I have no idea how to get through to the republican representatives. Sadly, we need them to get that man out of office. These are grown men and they know better. We should probably send pink slips to them. I have dear old as dust Mitch Mcdumbass as my representative and he is literally wasting away. I am going to fight to get someone in his place that cares. My Governor has a million more in respect than he does and as much as I would love to keep him, I hope he goes for bigger things. We need better representation. It's sad that the American people have to apologise for the idiot in cheif.
